London to Madrid by train overnight

Reaching Madrid by train from London is best done by taking the Eurostar to Paris, and then hopping on the connecting Elipsos Trenhotel night train from Paris Gare d’Austerlitz. The night-train leaves Paris early evening , meaning you can leave London on the Eurostar after lunch (or earlier if you want more time in Paris). See this post for more information on changing trains in Paris.

Best Price: £107 one-way, £137 return
Duration: Approx. 17.5 hours
Travel tip: There is a left luggage facility, open 7am-11pm at Gare d'Austerlitz next to gate 27. Handy if you want to dump your stuff and have a few hours hands free in Paris before getting on the night train.
