Hello,
I want to book tickets from London to Minsk. I think the best route is London-Belgium-Cologne but after that the route confuses me, I read somewhere that there are different trains for different days - is this true? Also I'd like the cheapest way possible - I'm not too bothered about the length of trip, more about saving pennies.
Any help would be great! Thanks :)

Hi Emily, Ooh what an adventure! Yes you're right the most efficient route is London - Brussels - Cologne - Minsk. First you take a Eurostar to Brussels afternoon train from London and then from there a high speed InterCity Express train onto Cologne. For the London to Cologne leg you're looking at about £90 return. This is bookable via Loco2 The EuroNight sleeper train leaves Cologne at 22:28hrs and reaches Minsk the next day at 23.49hrs. It's a long one, so stock up on food wine and entertainment :) Unfortunately you can't book the EuroNight sleeper online at the minute. Lastly don't forget to arrange a Belarussian visa for your trip! 1 year, 3 months ago

You can either do it yourself via the Belurus Embassy in London, however since you need to provide so-called 'supporting documents' (e.g. proof of where you are staying) we find it easier to go through Real Russia, a company that will do it for you, including providing a letter of invitation as a supporting document. http://www.realrussia.co.uk/visas/belarusian/ If you have distant Belarussian relatives, of course there is no need :) You can apply up to 3 months before you depart, and we would recommend you allow 3-4 weeks for processing. 1 year, 3 months ago
