London to Utrecht

You can leave London in the afternoon and get to Utrecht in time for dinner. From London, you take the Eurostar service to Brussels-Midi. Then, a high-speed connection by Thalys (now operating 10 times daily) takes you to Rotterdam Centraal in just 1hr and 10 minutes. From there, you can board a local InterCity service that takes you directly to the centre of Utrecht in 40mins. Fast trains, regular services, no fuss from the Dutch.

  • Best Price: From £51 one-way, £89 return
  • Duration: Approx. 5 hours Train: Eurostar and Thalys and InterCity trains
  • Travel tip: The Thalys part of the journey takes you through the Groene Hart tunnel, the largest drilled tunnel in the world.

Hi r_trenear

Thanks for posting, sorry you experienced problems on the site - you've actually alerted us to an issue with booking return tickets to Utrecht and elsewhere in the Netherlands so we're investigating.

Meanwhile, you are still able to book this journey as 2 singles (for the same price) by adding the separate fares to your basket and then proceeding to checkout. Here is a sample search with departures for 28th January:

Additionally, at the moment we are only able to sell postal tickets for this route (the Schipol to Utrecht leg at the end is a regional train that doesn't offer print at home tickets at the moment). We allow 10 working days for physical tickets, so you won't see results if you're looking to travel at short notice - we do not want to show fares which you then are unable to book!
