Trainhotel Engineering works 2011

If you're searching for trains to Spain from Paris or London during late 2011 and early 2012 you may find that there aren't as many options as you might hope. This is due to scheduled maintenance to the line which the Elipsos Trainhotel runs, which will disrupt core services for several weeks.

We've compiled a brief explanation of the information available we've been able to find:

Until 17th October 2011 the Paris-Madrid Trainhotel will run everyday, departing Paris Austerlitz every evening until the new winter timetables are implemented.

18th October - 10th December: It will run everynight except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

From 11th December - 17th March it will run on Monday. Thursday, Friday and Sunday plus a few additional services during the holiday season (excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day).

From 18th March - 15th October it will continue to run daily, give or take a cluster of days in March, April and May.

In addition to these scheduled engineering works, there may be other dates on which the Trainhotel appears not to be running. If you not able to see a timetable in advance for a service you expect to be running, you can wait until nearer the time (tickets may be released much later than the customary 90 days) or you can seek an alternative route.
